Nationwide reveals new slogan and advertising campaign

Nationwide building society is launching a new 60 second advertising campaign on Sunday during Downton Abbey with the new slogan ‘On your side’.

Different ads will air later on in the year and the TV campaign is supported by a fully integrated programme of in-branch, press and online advertising.

The adverts, by 18 Feet & Rising, aims to reflect the building society’s ethos of putting customers first, with good products and service.

Andy McQueen, Nationwide marketing director, said the new campaign would highlight Nationwide’s desire to put customers first, rather than maximising profits for shareholder benefit.

Jonathan Trimble, managing partner of 18 Feet & Rising, said: "No jokes, fake staff smiles, or karaoke - this work shows how Nationwide puts the people it serves at centre stage, just as it's done for over 160 years."
