Consultancy Goosebumps is to create the brand identity for CABANA, a new chain of Brasilian barbecue restaurants owned by Jamie Barber’s Sweet Potato Restaurant and Leisure Ventures.

Goosebumps has been commissioned to create the look and feel for the restaurant brand, including the menu and website design, following a five-way pitch.

The first two of the Brasilian (deliberately spelt with an ‘s’) restaurants will be launching in London this November at Westfield Stratford City and Central St Giles.

Simon Cotterrell, strategic partner at Goosebumps, said:“We are very excited to be working with Sweet Potato on what is an ambitious and innovative restaurant concept. We are passionate about how we can make the concept stand out in what is a highly competitive sector and cannot wait to reveal all in the autumn.”

Jamie Barber, CEO at Sweet Potato, said:“Goosebumps were very different to the other companies we approached. Creative concepts can be notoriously difficult to judge, but everything they presented was underpinned with very strong logic, making our choice a lot easier.

“We’re very confident that the style of restaurant we’re launching, coupled with Goosebumps’ input, will be a hit with the British public.”
