Former Yahoo! chief executive Carol Bartz says she was ‘f@cked over’ by board
Carol Bartz, who was this week ousted as the chief executive of Yahoo! has claimed that she was ‘f@cked over’ by the company’s directors.
In an interview with Fortune Magazine, Bartz, who was sacked over the phone by Yahoo! chairman Roy Bostock, has claimed the board did so to prove they were not ‘doofuses’.
"The board was so spooked by being cast as the worst board in the country. Now they're trying to show that they're not the doofuses that they are," she said.
"I said, 'Roy, I think that's a script… Why don't you have the balls to tell me yourself?'" Bartz continued in the interview.
Bartz also revealed that she aims to remain a director of the company, after 19 months in the role of CEO.
