Enders Analysis predicts -7% decline for UK classified advertising in 2011

Enders Analysis has said that it expects a further decline of -7% in UK classified advertising in print and digital media this year.

UK classified advertising in print and digital media fell -9% in 2010 to £2.76 billion.

The annual review and outlook looks at the classified advertising categories of recruitment, property, autos (used) and directories, across all media. It looks at the shift from print formats to less expensive digital media.

The Enders Analysis research also looks at the adoption of smartphones and tablets as a platform for advertising. The research summary states: “New models are evolving that will have implications for other media and in some cases, industry supply chains.”
