People warned to ‘turn off Twitter locations’ to prevent rioters
Several bloggers and tweeters are warning the public to turn off their Twitter location.
The post, which is being reposted and re-tweeted by many, warns that some of the rioters across England are choosing their next locations through searching social networks.
People who have their location turned ‘on’, or who state where they are, are apparently helping the rioters choose where they will next visit.
The message ‘TURN OFF YOUR TWITTER LOCATIONS THE RIOTERS ARE SEARCHING SOCIAL NETWORKS FOR THEIR NEXT TARGET’ has been re-tweeted and posted for about ten hours.
Yesterday, the police said that social media was one way in which the rioters were communicating with each other.
