CST The Gate launches specialist healthcare division

CST The Gate has today announced the launch of its specialist healthcare division, to be called CST The Gate Health.

The new launch will specialise in communications for prescription and consumer health and pharmaceutical brands.

Phil Hawkins, managing director of CST The Gate Health (pictured), said: “This new division will be built around the very specific needs of the pharmaceutical industry, providing best new talent and great creativity. At CST The Gate, we’ve got a history of helping clients communicate difficult and sensitive messages in a range of sectors, from financial services to charities, and we know that experience will prove invaluable in this sector too.“

Brian Towell, head of health at CST The Gate Health, said: “We’re aiming to bring a fresh and somewhat different approach to healthcare advertising. We aspire to stand out strategically and creatively in a sector that has a well-earned reputation for dogma and dullness.

“Our ethos is to deliver business results on the basis of our unique, predatory creative and strategic approach. And we have a few tricks up our sleeve too, that I know clients will clamour for.”

Creative directors Dave Trott, Gordon Smith and Richard Hayter will work across both the main agency and the new health division.

CST The Gate Health will look to help clients across many different markets, with the London office working on domestic business, and also as a European hub for clients who require wider reach across EMEA or EU markets.

The division will also manage centralised development of global healthcare brands and visual identity projects for emerging brands.
