Prime Minister David Cameron is set to guest-edit the next edition of the Big Issue.

Cameron will be the guest editor of the next issue, produced south of the border, which will be released next Monday, featuring his image on the cover.

The Daily Mail reports that he spent the afternoon at the publication’s offices in Vauxhall, South London, coinciding with magazine's press day.

There he met editorial staff viewed some of the final content ahead of it being sent to print.

A Downing Street spokesman told the Daily Mail: “This visit to the Big Issue has been planned for some time.

'The Big Issue is a very important publication to the homeless community and the visit wasn't a last-minute decision after recent events this week.”
