To mark the launch of new superhero TV show The Cape, Syfy has commissioned pictures of six celebrities in superhero garb.

The images of Andy Murray; Gary Barlow; Daniel Radcliffe; Jamie Oliver; Cheryl Cole and David Beckham were created by artist James Husbands.

Andy Murray is portrayed with a twin tennis racquet holster; Gary Barlow is portrayed with the X Factor logo in his chest; and Daniel Radcliffe has a large star on his back. Jamie Oliver is carrying a bunch of carrots; Cheryl Cole is wearing the same colours as the orange top-purple flares outfit she was ridiculed for wearing at the US X Factor audition; and David Beckham is wearing a Riddler style outfit emblazoned by number 7’s – his Manchester United shirt number.

The six celebrities portrayed were part of the top 10 best celebrity role model poll conducted by Syfy. The other celebrities in the top 10 were: Beyonce Knowles, Emma Watson, Lady Gaga and Peter Andre.
