A creative media services contract has been launched by the Department of Education to outsource creative services such as PR, event management, branding and design.

The three-year contract is open to all government departments, non departmental public bodies and the wider public sector and has been developed partly in response to the closure of the Central Office of Information.

The 12 Creative Choice framework members who will provide differing creative services are Brass, The Live Group, Bell, Kindred, WCL, CDS, Take One Productions, Crown, Twofour, Bentley Holland, Scroll and the The Dorman Group, which aims to offer a wider supply chain of over 150 SME communications organisations across the UK.

Jonathan Lewis, chairman of Creative Choice CIC, said: “As a group of small to medium sized organisations we are delighted that our proposal to deliver CMS was viewed by the DfE as the best-value communications solution to government. Since entering contract negotiations we have made great strides in bringing this offer to the market with a fully operational procurement portal now live. Creative Choice clients should expect a more direct and responsive route to procurement and, as importantly, innovation and value for money.”

The organisations joined the framework following an OJEU procurement process.
