Comedian Steve Coogan said he was "delighted" by the News of the World's closure and ripped into one of the fallen paper's former journalists in an angry debate on Newsnight last night.

The Alan Partridge star and phone-hacking victim blasted former News of the World reporter Paul McMullan as "morally bankrupt" and "a walking PR disaster for the tabloids".
