Manchester agency Hidden Creative has taken the wraps off its interactive window displays which shoppers and customers can control using their hand and body movements.

The Gesture Controlled Window Displays are designed to make store fronts more enticing and encourage shoppers to check out deals and products.

It is the latest retail technology launch from Hidden, which has already created a virtual changing room that allows customers to try on augmented reality clothes, and a virtual optician's store.

Peter O'Brien, operations director at Hidden, said this technology would be in the marketplace soon: "These products are available here and now and in the next twelve months retailers across the UK will be using these types of gesture and augmented reality technology to acquire and engage with customers, drive footfall and run promotions.

“The technology supports bricks and mortar retailing by driving customers into store but supporting online offers and promotions, helping to make traditional outlets more integrated with multichannel retail strategies.”
