Sheridan’s jail blog curtailed over early release threat
Disgraced former politician Tommy Sheridan has reluctantly ceased his regular blog updates on life behind bars, after being told the articles could jeopardise his early release.
The perma tanned socialist had been spending his time shacked up in Barlinnie prison at Her Majesty’s pleasure to pen a series of articles documenting his daily routine at the infamous Glasgow jail.
Ironically the convicted liar’s exploits only caused trouble with prison managers when he posted “inaccurate stories”, according to one jail insider.
Amongst the exploits Sheridan has shared with his fans are a day trip to a Dobbies garden centre, numerous Scrabble tournaments and a new passion for carpentry developed within the nick’s own wood shed.
Sheridan is serving three years in jail for perjury but will be eligible for early release after serving just half of his term.
