Leicester agency Big Communications is launching a new 'innovations' unit led by former Unilever marketer Helen Chantrey.

Chantrey, who has previously worked with brands including Marmite, Pot Noodle and Shell, joined the agency to head up the new team this week.

She said: "I’m excited to be joining the Big Communications group. There’s a huge opportunity to help clients grow their brands, combining the creative and planning assets of the agency with my brand strategy and innovation experience."

Big Innovations will offer clients strategy and planning to help them introduce their ideas.

Managing director Mike Phillipson said: "Our clients have a real appetite for developing more innovative strategies. Bringing in Helen, with her innovations pedigree, will help us to not only help our clients, but to attract new clients to the Big Communications Group also.”
