Nailsea-based agency Ontrac has created a number of materials on behalf of the Electoral Commission in support of today’s referendum on the Alternative Vote.

Ontrac produced posters, advertising templates and identity guidelines that stakeholders such as local councils could use to raise awareness of the referendum.

All materials were designed so that the individual stakeholders could add their own logo.

Ontrac’s creative director Tim Gudgeon explained that the work on the campaign follows the company’s previous work on the Welsh Yes/No referendum in early March. He explained that the main image for the 5th of May referendum was an existing design that had been implemented into a booklet created by another agency.

“This was a national campaign taking in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and we incorporated the existing image into our design of the posters and advertising,” he said.

“For a rural regional agency to secure these high profile contracts is a huge compliment to Ontrac’s team,” said Marian Harding, managing director of Ontrac’s Newtown office.

“I believe it is our unique ability to combine the creativity and discipline of a London agency with the commitment, service and value of a local supplier that has enabled us to win these contracts.”
