Apple issues cease and desist over Steve Jobs in Carbonite iPhone case
Apple’s lawyers have issued a cease and desist order to art prints company Society6 following the release of a ‘Steve Jobs in Carbonite’ iPhone case.
The case, which brings together the geekdoms of Star Wars and Apple, had been available to purchase for $35 but after drawing the attentions of Apple’s eagle-eyed legal team, and due to not being officially licensed, the product has already been pulled.
Creator Greg Koenig said it was fun while it lasted, but added: “Yesterday, Society6 was issued a cease and desist from Apple’s lawyers. So I’m sorry to say that the cases and skins are no longer available.”
