The expert panel for MiNetwork's Selling and Social Media event being held in Leeds in May has been bolstered by Welcome To Yorkshire and social media guru Liz Cable.

Selling Through Social Media will take place on 4th May at the Park Plaza Hotel in Leeds and the five-strong panel will discuss how social media platforms are being integrated into the marketing activity of clients and how platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube are being used to build customer loyalty and to sell more products and services.

Welcome To Yorkshire's digital marketing manager Kristal Ireland has joined the panel to offer some insights from the client's perspective on what social media can bring to the marketing mix, and also joining the panel is Liz Cable, who launched the UK's first social media company, Reach Further, in 2006.

Since 2006 Cable and her team have worked with thousands of businesses to help them harness the power of social media to establish their expertise, promote their products and services and gain and retain more customers online. Cable has been running online communities for the last 15 years and was recently appointed head of social media for digital agency twentysix.

The panel will also include Mark Bower of Cool Pink, Alex Craven of Bloom Media and a leading social media expert from leading digital agency Epiphany Solutions will also be offering their thoughts on social media and its future role in marketing.

Richard Draycott, managing director of MiNetwork, said: "This event promises to be a must attend for anyone in the north of England as the expertise and social media experience on the panel is just fantastic. I'm confident that attendees will leave with some really valuable insights into how to get the most from their social media activity. It also promises to be a great networking event, with the opportunity for members and non-members to get to know eachother better."
