The Sunday Sport to return without The Daily Sport
The Sunday Sport looks set to be revived under old boss David Sullivan.
The Guardian reports that Sullivan is closing in on a deal which will see the newspaper return on 8 May, although its sister title The Daily Sport will not be so lucky.
David Sullivan, who sold the titles in 2008, is set to agree to buy it back from administrators BDO for less than £1 million.
The newspapers were put up for sale at the beginning of this month following the administration of owners Sport Media Group, which lead to the loss of 80 jobs.
