Spirit Nottingham, a website which aims to create collaborative partnerships between the city’s cultural venues, has been launched.

The site, by (untitled) aims to offer an online space for users to research and plan their visit to Nottingham, having been briefed to develop a digital platform which would increase engagement with the city’s cultural offering.

Over 180 venues are covered by the website which encourages user generated content to promote the cultural offering within Nottingham, with GPS maps also helping users locate the venues while planning their visit.

The site has been developed through a partnership between a number of organisations including Arts Council England East Midlands and the Greater Nottingham Partnerships which has matched funding from Nottingham Playhouse, Capital FM Arena, We Are Nottingham and Lakeside.

Rob Hollands, digital director for (untitled), said that the site was a great example of the opportunities presented by digital to ‘achieve complex objectives’.

He added: “Tasked with the challenge of shifting perceptions of an entire city, we developed a unique, non-linear, multi view website that encourages the user to explore. It's a brave approach for this type of organisation and embraces the use of new technologies and philosophies.”
