Lingerie brand Ultimo is seeking a new PR manager with Claire Morrison set to join Wire Media in Glasgow as an account director.

Morrison has previously worked for agencies such as DADA and Freshwater in Glasgow before joining Ultimo as its lead media communications contact.

Lee Beattie, director of Wire Media, said of Morrison’s appointment: “Throughout the interview process it was clear to us that Claire is dynamic, creative and really knows her stuff, which is exactly what we were looking for. Her media contacts across the UK are impressive and her work is first-class - she's going to be a great addition to our team.”

The agency, which was launched by Beattie and Pamela Scobbie, both former associate directors of Burt Greener Communications, will now have six employees, working with clients such as Sigma Films, Marketing Edinburgh, Piping Live!, Glayva, 5pm.co.uk, 29 and Rogano.

Morrison added: "I’m thrilled to be joining Wire Media at such an exciting time in its development. Wire is everything a great agency should be – creative, dynamic, big thinking and results driven. With an enviable client list, I’m looking forward to getting my teeth into Marketing Edinburgh and Lynnet Leisure, as well as helping the agency to continue to expand in Scotland and beyond.”

With Morrison’s departure, Ultimo has begun the search for a successor, who will be tasked with developing a relationship with the press and advise on a range of media handling and PR issues.
