As part of a £5 million campaign, Young’s is set to roll out a new TV commercial to promote its Chip Shop battered fish product.

Created by Mother, the 30 second advert, entitled ‘Hungry Sailor’ has been directed by Peter Catteneo, who was nominated for an Academy Award for The Full Monty, and features a new take on the sea shanty ‘What Should We Do with the Drunken Sailor?’.

The advert will be supported by PR and digital activity.

Tasha Gladman, UK marketing director for Young’s, commented: “Fishy Dishy has been well-received by retailers and consumers, with website traffic up 50% and we look forward to ‘Hungry Sailor’ boosting this further.”

This is the second advert from Young’s this year, following the ‘Fishy Dishy’ advert launched in January to promote the Young’s Breaded range.
