Discount retailer Cash Generator has appointed four North West agencies to handle a 2011 marketing push comprising PR, advertising, design and online marketing.

McCann Manchester will develop Cash Generator's brand strategy, shaping its marketing for 2011 and beyond. It will also create a national TV campaign to raise awareness of the brand.

Having worked with Cash Generator previously, design agency Cube 3 will overhaul its point of sale and update its corporate literature and handle a series of national and trade ads.

Photolink Creative Group, which first started working with the client in 2006, has been appointed as its web agency.

And Mere PR will be responsible for running a franchise recruitment plan, working with national, trade and online media to secure new franchisees to the network.

As Cash Generator's retained PR agency since 2008, Mere has also been briefed with launching new stores.

All the agencies will report directly to the company's newly-appointed marketing director, Stuart Owens.

He said: "The appointment of Mere PR, McCann Manchester, Cube 3 and Photolink Creative Group is a significant move for Cash Generator as it finalises its marketing framework for 2011.

“With nationwide expansion set to continue at impressive rates, and the introduction of new financial services, I believe we are working with the best agencies who are each experts in their fields. It is an exciting time for Cash Generator and with the agencies working collaboratively, the marketing campaign is already taking shape.”
