Creative Break invites apprentices to AskMeg
In a bid to grow awareness of the benefits of apprenticeships within the creative sector, an apprentice from partnership programme Creative Break will be answering questions today through social media.
Using Twitter, Megan Wieczorek, junior administrator at Tangerine PR will today discuss what working as an apprentice within the creative industry has been like with businesses and other apprentices.
Using #AskMeg, she will not only answer questions, but also tweet her activities as she goes through her daily routine.
Wieczorek said: “The opportunity to do a Business Administration Apprenticeship through Creative Break has been the best thing I have done since leaving school. I really want people to use Friday as a chance to ask me anything about the programme, whether it’s about my experiences as an apprentice, how to sign up, what’s involved or why it’s an appropriate alternative to higher education.”
Creative Break is primarily funded by the North West Apprenticeship Company and supported by the National Apprenticeship Service and the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce. It implemented the Creative Break Apprenticeship Programme in order to recruit and train administration apprentices specifically for the creative industries.
