Intel has teamed up with Kraft Foods to devise a face scanning kiosk that can purportedly correlate facial expressions with to specific foods which the circuitry deems appropriate.

Custom video analytics software scans for distinguishing features of the face such as eye positioning, shape of the nose and cheekbones before having a stab at the owner’s age and gender.

This data is used to give the user food for thought by narrowing the field of potential dinner options to delicacies catalogued as appropriate to the enquirer.

Fortunately for those with a vacant look the system can also read store loyalty cards to output a range of customised dining options and can be integrated with Kraft’s own iFood assistant.
