Everton Football Club has re-signed its digital agency Rippleffect on a three-year deal.

The Liverpool-based agency, which has worked with the Toffees since 2002, will remain responsible for the development, design, hosting, maintenance and build of evertonfc.com and the club's other online services.

Ben Hatton, managing director at Rippleffect, said: “The next three years, and hopefully beyond, will see us continue to work closely with the club to capitalise on emerging channels and take advantage of the developments in mobile and tablet technology.

“We will be re-launching evertonfc.com next year.”

In 2010 Everton's official website was ranked first out of 20 in terms of the proportion of Premier League fans who visit their club's site at least two or three times a week.

The club says the web has become a crucial part of its interaction with fans and it claims that 88 percent of Evertonians visit the site each week.

Mark Rowan, head of media and communications at Everton Football Club, said: “The digital environment has become the most important way in which we communicate with our fans.

“The team at Rippleffect has helped evertonfc.com develop into a significant sized business and the mix between commercial and communication means we have a product that caters for all of Everton’s requirements in this area.

“The next three years are about continued development of the product, convergence with our digital products but most of all continuing to offer Evertonians the quality of service they have become used to.”
