Bristol-based digital agency, Yucca has announced that it is working with footwear retailer Clarks, to help the company improve communication with its franchises.

The agency is in the process of creating a global extranet that will enable Clarks to share relevant company news, results, trends and targets with its partners.

“In a nutshell, the extranet is set to make the lives of hundreds of franchise partners and those staff at the International Division of Clarks HQ, that bit easier,” explained Yucca creative technology director, Richie Jones.

“We’ve already started work on phase one of the project and we’re particularly excited to be integrating into the site Microsoft’s SharePoint 2010 – a business collaboration platform which helps organisations share information remarkably quickly and easily.”

The extranet will also play a vital role in ensuring that Clarks can easily communicate its retail and brand directives to franchisees, helping to ensure they are delivered effectively in stores worldwide.

Clarks, as well as being a highly-established brand in the UK, is also a worldwide franchise, with over 230 partners worldwide, from Germany to Japan.

The company came to Yucca looking for a way to communicate with these franchisees effectively, reliably and flexibly.
