Outdoor clothing and accessory company Berghaus has announced that it is set to restructure its business model in an attempt to become the leading outdoor brand.

The company restructure will take place over the coming months and will combine the International Board, which will oversee the brand’s direction, while dedicated regional business units will aim to deliver local solutions in markets around the world.

The company will continue to base its global headquarters in Sunderland, which will be the base for the UK business unit, while the company is also on the hunt for a new chief operating officer to be based within the headquarters and will oversee the global operations and supply chain function.

The COO will also be appointed to the International Board of the company.

Richard Cotter, Berghaus brand president, commented:“These are very exciting times for Berghaus. Over the last few years, we have made huge strides in increasing the global reach of the brand and have excellent arrangements in place for our key markets around the world.”

He continued: “As the business has grown, we have adapted our structure so that we can make the most of the great opportunity that exists for Berghaus to become a leading global outdoor brand.”
