Young creates new brand for Qubiq

Manchester agency Young has designed a new brand identity and website for construction industry company Qubiq.

The custom timber frame engineer is using the new branding on its printed stationery, staff uniforms, in-house signage and the new website.

Hartlepool-based Qubiq approached Young because it wanted to stand out from similar manufacturers in its industry.

Young co-founders Geth & Pete explained: ''Working for a client in the construction industry is something completely new to Young and maybe not something people would expect us to do.

"We decided to take this project on as the client was happy for us to put our stamp on the brief, and in the end creating something fun and playful that stands out from the usual facade of happy workmen wearing hard-hats, holding mugs of tea often found in construction sector branding.''

Sandy Bliss, director of Qubiq, said the firm's brand identity is now "untypical and unexpected" but "totally appropriate and fun too".
