US Russian relations thaw on Twitter
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has formed an unlikely friendship with the former governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger; as the body builder cum actor cum politician decides where next to take his career.
The blossoming friendship was apparently born last year when Medvedev travelled to Silicon Valley with the governator in a bid to create a Russian equivalent of the hi tech hub.
That visit was reciprocated by a trip to Russia by the former Mr Universe where the pair again hit it off, promising to find the time for a joint ski trip.
Medvedev tweeted to his esteemed follower on his last day in office saying: “There are many more interesting opportunities still to come.”
This prompted Schwarzenegger to tweet back: “I hope you're having a great new year and can't wait to see you again - maybe skiing?"
The Russian premier was swift to take up the offer stating: “We agreed - I remember. We'll definitely find the time."
