Specific Media hires former COI digital marketing chief Stephenson

Daniel Stephenson, former head of digital marketing for the Central Office of Information, has joined Specific Media as senior director of category development.

Stephenson will now be made responsible for the development of the business planning and marketing strategy which will aim to extend Specific Media’s relationships with key clients.

He will also lead a team to develop innovative solutions that will enable clients in vertical sectors to maximise their online marketing.

Ian Dowds, vice president UK of Specific Media, commented: “Since 1999, Specific Media has worked hard to bring increased service and tailored solutions to advertisers, expanding our product offering into new sectors and markets. Daniel will be instrumental in continuing our strategic growth into 2011 by developing and delivering vertical-specific solutions for our clients.
