Motorpoint brings in "social media specialist"

Car supermarket Motorpoint has hired a "social media specialist" to act as the company's voice online.

Ian Stanley, a 24-year-old blogger and Keele University graduate, will work to grow Motorpoint's following on Facebook and Twitter.

And he will oversee the roll-out of Inside Motorpoint, a new website featuring news, photos and videos from the Superbikes and Pro-Cycling teams sponsored by the company.

Stanley said he would use social media channels to develop "closer relationships" with customers.
