Stuart Beamish, former marketer with British Airways, is set to join British Midland International (bmi) as head of marketing and product.

Beamish, a graduate of Manchester Metropolitan University, who has also held marketing roles within Virgin Holidays, will take up the role on 1 January and will lead bmi’s global marketing strategy.

He will report to Joerg Hennemann, chief commercial officer at the company.

Hennemann, chief commercial officer, bmi commented: “I am delighted that Stuart is joining bmi. With his depth of knowledge and experience gained over many years in the industry, he will be a valuable asset to the team as we drive forward the airline’s global marketing and product strategy.”

Beamish added: “It’s an exciting time for me to join the airline. I’m looking forward to working with the team in developing a marketing and product strategy in line with the airline’s ambition.”

The news closely follows the unveiling of bmi’s new identity.
