Lloydspharmacy will kick off the new year with a multimedia advertising campaign aimed at people resolving to quit smoking or lose weight.

Under the brand positioning 'Healthcare for Life', the campaign will promote the free six-week weight loss and stop smoking programmes offered by the pharmacy chain.

The work, created by Cheltenham agency TDA, will run across national press ads, radio ads, consumer press advertorials and direct mail.

There will also be regional marketing in the form of six-sheet posters, ad bikes and bus advertising.

It is TDA's first work for the pharmacy chain since winning its £3m ad account without a pitch in November.

Claire Bayliss, director of marketing at Lloydspharmacy, said: "Two of the major new year’s resolutions are to lose weight and stop smoking, so there’s no better time for us to promote our free services for both of these."

The campaign launches on 2 January 2011.
