The Dalriada Project, a partnership aimed at conserving and enhancing 296km2 of landscape in Mid Argyll, has unveiled their custom designed signage package.

These take the form of a series of oak timber and powder coated metal structures which achieve the contradictory task of orientating individuals whilst blending into the landscape.

Developed by Nevis Design, with assistance from Sutherland Hussey Architects, AOC Archaeology and McRobb display, this is intended to the natural and cultural resources of the area, heighten public awareness of heritage and provide opportunities for community engagement and training.

David Huckell, Design Director at Nevis Design commented: “this was a fascinating (large scale) project to work on. Situated in such a beautiful part of Scotland the challenge was to create something natural that would fit into the landscape-yet be durable. 18 months and a great project team later we are delighted with the outcome”
