A trading update from Leeds headquartered agency Fuse8 has confirmed that it is still looking at a number of small acquisitions as it aims to grow.

The company was admitted to AIM on 20 July 2010 following a reverse acquisition of Award International Holdings plc, and has announced that in the six month period to 30 September 2010, the company achieved a turnover of around £2.3 million.

The announcement also read: “Since its admission to AIM, Fuse 8 has continued to drive new business and the pipeline remains encouraging. Although organic growth is the Company’s primary focus, it is also actively looking at a number of potential small acquisitions. The Board remains confident as to the prospects and opportunities to grow the business in the digital marketing sector.”

The Drum understands that one such acquisition is near completion but has yet to be finalised.

Gary Lockton, managing director of London digital agency Deepend which closed in 2001, has also joined the agency’s London base as group development director.

Lockton has been tasked with finding and developing new business for Fuse8.
