A website being piloted for Tayside Police is set to allow the public to directly engage with the force’s offices online.

The Mypolice website, founded by two graduates in 2009, will be piloted by Tayside Police over a three-month-period, where the public will be able to comment on the local policing and talk over issues with officers.

10 officers of various ranks will use the site to communicate with residents in the Tayside area during the test period, while the public will also be able to leave comments about the policing of their community too.

It is understood that the site could be rolled out across the UK if successful and become a site on which UK policing issues could be discussed openly between the forces and the public.
