Herald ad fails to fly

The Drum is not one to dwell on the mistakes of others, primarily owing to a propensity for the odd brush with error ourselves, but our eye could not help but be drawn to a colourful advert in today's Herald.

'9 Destinations from Glasgow fm £36.99' screamed the headline on pg 9, superimposed upon the tempting vista of a sun kissed beach resort.

Mindful of the descending gloom that coincides with the autumnal months we were almost tempted to take heed of the adverts protestation to 'Book Today!' but found ourselves stymied by an absence of contact details, or indeed any information on the identity of those responsible for this enticing offer.

An unfortunate page misalignment it seems had scythed off the crucial data leaving readers grounded. There but for the grace of god then could it have been us.

Perhaps The Herald's production team are in need of a cheap get away themselves.
