Practical Action, the charity which works to improve the lives of poor communities in the developing world, has appointed TDA to restructure its web presence.

The charity has carried out a "major review" of its website, which it wants to be more responsive and the hub of its external communications.

Cheltenham-based TDA, which has previously worked with the chartity on its donor campaigns, will help it build a new website structure and microsites.

Rob Cartridge, head of communications at Practical Action, said: "The customer journey should be an intuitive one, allowing them to move through our site seamlessly, always being presented with content in a format appropriate to them.

"To that end, we need to redefine our audiences, what we want of them, and what they might want of us, and use that as the cornerstone for our entire online presence."

Darren James, a digital strategy partner at TDA, said it is crucial for the charity that its site provides an effective user experience.

"In these austere times, when every penny spent needs to work its hardest to create return, this project will be pivotal in Practical Action's future strategy."
