Beckham bags brand revamp

Victoria Beckham is aiming to dispel her Spice Girl and footballers wife image for that of a fashion designer with the launch of her new bag collection.

The Times reports that Beckham is graduating from modelling clothes to designing them with the launch of an exclusive range of her favourite accessory, bags.

Launching the range at an uptown New York townhouse Beckham unveiled a range of holdalls to suit all genders with carriers ranging from a feminine clutch to a masculine travel bag, stating of the latter “David will be test driving that one.”

Topping the range of 27 bag varieties is the “Victoria”, a day bag available in waxed matte croc, lizard and calf, a design intended to prove the former pop singer can turn her passion for fashion into a business.

Asked what all this means for her extensive collection of Birkins, Beckham replied “I could put them on eBay.”
