A site which aims to provide health advice from NHS 24 to the people of Scotland has been developed by Dog Digital.

NHS Inform, which launched last month, will aim to provide the public, patients and carers with health advice online, over the phone and eventually face-to-face as the site evolves.

The information available will come from national and local health services across the NHS and elsewhere.

Included on the site are A-Z Health sections, a live well zone, and alcohol zones which aim to provide patients with health information.

NHS inform is hosted using Sitecore Content Management System technology, of which Dog Digital is an accredited partner. The site also features colour changing and text resizing capabilities that that will open up the site to NHS patients with impaired vision.

Lynne Huckerby, head of Health Information, NHS 24, commented:“This has been a challenging project to bring together a range of quality assured information in one place which is really unprecedented in Scotland. The inform team have succeeded in shaping a service that, when fully operational, will be the best national health information resource available for the public in Scotland."
