Representatives of The Scottish Government, including First Minister Alex Salmond, are currently at this year’s World Expo in Shanghai, for which Kommando has been tasked with promotional duties.

The Scottish consumer engagement agency is currently helping promote Scotland to Expo visitors through the use of its promotional technology such as PixAngels and NomadiX which roam the event through overhead LED screens playing video footage of Scottish attractions.

The PixAngels will be taking photographs of visitors to the UK Pavillion at the Expo, which will be printed on the spot and handed over in a Chinese Language Scotland-brand frame.

Visitors will also be encouraged to visit Scotland’s official Chinese language website, while brand ambassadors will wear specially commissioned uniforms by Scottish designer Joyce Young, using Scotland China tartan.

The Scottish Government has been working with VisitScotland, Scottish Development International and the British Council to promote Scotland at the Expo as a key destination to live, work, visit and do business.
