The Drum has learned that Vincent Rea, who recently left News International where was head of retail in its sales department is to join Radio Clyde as its new sales manager.

He will take up the post on 12 July having left News International’s Scottish operation where he spent 15 years, as part of its restructuring process.

“I am really delighted to be taking up this new challenge and am looking forward to working with the team at Clyde. Commercial radio in the UK today is more competitive than ever and I am relishing the opportunity this role will bring,” said Rea.

Tracey McNellan, station director at Clyde, added: “This is a great appointment for us. Vincent will be a fantastic addition to the team here at Clyde. He is familiar with the business and clients we have at Clyde and I am sure he will play a key role in helping us build on existing success.”
