Lucozade Sport has worked with Leicester agency Fuse Digital to create a health and fitness application for the iPhone.

FitCoach, which is Lucozade's first iPhone app, offers personalised training plans and nutritional advice to help users towards their fitness goals. Fuse worked with "sports scientists and training experts" to create the app's content.

“Digital, at its best, takes consumer insights and delivers communications that offer tangible value,” said Dan Neville, the agency's strategy director. “This was our ambition for FitCoach; to develop an application that would deliver brand insights and expertise in a way that would actively engage with consumers.”

Ed Guichard, brand manager at Lucozade Sport, added: “This is the direction we want our brand to move towards – developing applications and content that make a genuine difference to people’s lives, while driving awareness of Lucozade products.

"FitCoach provides a fantastic means of achieving this whilst allowing us to deeply engage with consumers."

The app is in Apple's store now.
