A new TV campaign from Tennent’s lager will be unveiled to the press today, the first campaign to be released by the brand since it was acquired by C&C Group last year.

The campaign, once again handled by Tennent’s retained advertising agency Newhaven, has been shrouded in secrecy, which, it is thought, will include an element highlighting its new sponsorship of Old Firm Scottish football rivals Celtic and Rangers.

Already released in recent weeks has been the brand’s new website, created by Whitespace, which looks back on previous brand campaigns, and includes the mysterious ‘H’, in the same font as the brand’s ‘T’ logo, which is also expected to be a part of this campaign.

This will be the first time in over two years that the brand has looked to use TV advertising, the previous campaign having promoted the brand’s former sponsorship of the Scottish national football team.

Tennent’s was sold to C&C Group by Anheuser-Busch InBev last August in a deal reportedly worth around £180 million.
