The Food, Fish and Market Development Department for Rural Affairs and Heritage of the Welsh Assembly Government is to redevelop its website to promote the food and drink of the country.

The ‘Wales The True Taste’ food and drink website will be developed by an agency following a tender process for the three-year development and maintenance contract which has an estimated budget of £250,000.

The successful applicant will be tasked with the design, building, development, hosting and support of the site as well as to undertake online marketing of the site, and will take an active role in its continued development over the length of the contract.

The contract advertisement states that it foresees between five and 20 agencies who achieve a mark of 40 % or above for each question will be invited to tender.

The procurement exercise will take place through the etenderwales portal with deadline for requests to participate falling on 10 June.
