The bookmaker William Hill has hired the if agency to handle a new Customer Relationship Management programme.

The Altrincham agency was appointed after a competitive pitch process with other unnamed agencies at the gambling giant's headquarters in Gibraltar.

Its campaign, which will launch in the summer, will be focused on improving customer retention and increasing spend within William Hill's online gaming and bookmaking interests.

If will work to "cross-sell" new William Hill customers into "other relevant areas of the business" and will also deliver a series of targeted direct mail.

Christian James, managing director at the if agency, said: "This work with William Hill is a fantastic opportunity for us as it is central to its core customer engagement and growth plans. CRM is a fast paced and ever evolving area that offers huge potential for businesses so we can’t wait to get our teeth stuck into this exciting project over the coming weeks and months."
