PR company Beattie Communications has launched an educational marketing and student recruitment agency called 11tenGroup.

The spin off agency will look to head up brand building and student recruitment for universities and colleges in the UK and around the world with international student recruitment now a priority for many higher education facilities.

With a 20-strong team, 11ten will provide universities with traditional and digital PR and marketing services, while a team of student careers advisors will also work through the company, based in Rochford, Essex.

“Moving into the international marketplace was a no-brainer for Beattie. We have found the perfect partner in Peter Cunningham who has been at the forefront of educational marketing for more than two decades,” said Laurna Woods, group managing director of Beattie Communications.

Cunningham, who was a founder of Footprint Advertising, said: “This is the perfect time to launch the new consultancy as international student recruitment becomes increasingly important to universities and governments around the world.”

Beattie Communications also recently announced that former editor of The Herald, Charles McGhee had joined to head up its public sector team in Scotland.
