Biss Lancaster fights off competition from London to retain PR account for the UK's leading pet care brand Pets At Home.

It is understood that Biss Lancaster, which has handled the PR business for the last three years, fended off competition from London-based PR consultancies Shine, Green Row and Cow, which also has an office in Leeds, and also from Hale-based consultancy Peppermint. It is also believed that Beattie Communications was involved in the review.

Biss Lancaster won the Pets At Home business in May 2007 and has seen the business through a considerable growth phase and also through the recent sale by former owners Bridgegroup to private equity firm KKR for £1billon.

Both Biss Lancaster and Pets At Home were unavailable to comment at the time of writing.
