Marketing and PR job opportunities rise
Figures compiled by Reed.co.uk have shown that demand for those working in marketing and PR has continued to rise in March, despite the rest of the job market experiencing a slump.
Martin Warnes, managing director of Reed.co.uk, said: “Across the board, employers have become more cautious about committing to new recruitment”, and economists have forecast that unemployment could peak at 2.8m this year.
The rise in demand for those working in Marketing and PR, however, echoes the CBI report which suggested financial companies planned to increase their marketing spend.
The index measuring jobs available in marketing and PR jumped to 117, up from 110 in February and 100 in December.
