Former Enjoy Digital and Ripe MD joins Intermarketing

Simon Jones, interim managing director at Ripe Design in Leeds has moved to The Intermarketing Group as its head of online, after less than six months.

Jones, previously managing director of Enjoy Digital, who joined Ripe’s Leeds office last November to oversee its running on a ‘trial basis’, has taken up responsibility for developing and delivering web-based strategies for the company's client list which includes Adidas, RSA, Freemans, Jet2, EveryChild and Ted Baker.

Jones said, “This is an exciting move for me and one that I’m really looking forward to embracing. I’ve kept a close eye on Intermarketing over the years and I’m delighted to be now part of the team that will lead the agency forward with its digital proposition.”

Glenn Patterson, managing director of Intermarketing, added: “Simon’s appointment marks a significant stage in our expansion. His experience in developing marketing strategies and in particular digital is exactly what the company needs as we continue to grow our client portfolio.

The Drum understands that Ripe will not continue to seek a managing director for its Leeds business in the short term, as it concentrates on its business abroad in Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Cape Town.
