Microsoft is to work with Mando Group to produce a user-experience application which makes use of the software giant's Silverlight, Sharepoint 2010 and Bing Maps services.

The app promises to bring to life sales and CRM data through Silverlight and movie-style animation and it will allow sales to be plotted onto a customised-version of the Bing Map.

Liverpool-based Mando, which has been a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for over 2 years, says the application will be "totally unlike any other line-of-business application".

Ian Finch, Mando Group's managing director, said: "This is an exciting strategic win for Mando Group. Our ability to partner with Microsoft on this project is a demonstration of the critical mass we have built within our RIA practice.

"Silverlight and SharePoint are core technologies for us, so it’s fantastic to be developing with them directly with Microsoft and gaining crucial insight into the future of enterprise applications. But, most of all, we’re looking forward to being able to demonstrate through this project that SharePoint can look beautiful.”

Mando, which launched in 1997, recently unveiled its new brand identity (pictured) and website.
